From September 20 to 30, 2027, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan will stage Homage to Béjart, an extraordinary tribute to the visionary genius of Maurice Béjart on the centenary of his birth and the twentieth anniversary of his passing.
La Scala and its prestigious Ballet Company celebrate the absolute uniqueness of one of the greatest choreographers of the twentieth century, whose stylistic signature has forever marked the history of dance. The evening is structured as a magnificent triptych featuring L'oiseau de feu (The Firebird), the deeply moving Serait-ce la mort? (a masterpiece never before performed in Italy), and the legendary and iconic Boléro, which will feature the extraordinary participation of the international étoile Roberto Bolle.
Accompanying the dancers in this visual and sensory experience will be the Orchestra dell'Accademia Teatro alla Scala. An unmissable event to immerse yourself in Béjart's powerful and unmistakable imagery, experiencing the perfect fusion of movement, image, and the grandeur of unforgettable scores.
