Venice and music have always been linked by an unbreakable bond. Even philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, when thinking about a possible synonym for “music“, could only think of the word “Venice“.
The Gran Teatro La Fenice is understandably the very first place one thinks of when talking about music and Venice. The Venetian theater is located in the heart of the lagoon city, not far from the incredible Piazza San Marco. The theater went twice on fire and was twice almost completely rebuilt, giving its name “Fenice” a strong meaning as the theater that can arise from its ashed, just like the mythological phoenix. Due to the quality of the artists performing on its stage, La Fenice is among the most renowned theaters in the world.
Venice is a unique city, where the greatest artists could get their inspiration over the centuries: painters, poets, composers and many others were inspired by the lagoon city to create their masterpieces. It is no coincidence that many composers – such as Rossini, Bellini, Verdi and Stravinskij – chose Venice and La Fenice for their premieres.
Here in Venice, suspended between water and air, you can enjoy an unforgettable stay and attend a high-quality performance.
